A trip to Ireland
Tuesday 17 August, 2010
Last week me and Kate Hall, who is based at Clattercote stables, went to Ireland looking at potential horses to bring back. Luckily we were blessed with lot's of nice weather as we were informed it was raining at home much to Dad's disapproval as this brought a halt to combining.
We saw lot's of promising young horses so hopefully we will soon have one or two new additions to the yard.
Primative Rose is now feeling much better so will be back competing again soon. High Jinx is taking it easy till the end of the month as she has had a hard season so far, although I'm not sure she is appreciating the holiday!

Life at Clattercote
Monday 8th August, 2010
Penny, my brood mare, gave birth to a lovely colt foal witch we have name Sovereign 2 weeks ago and is proving what a lovely mummy she is proudly watching over him whilst he is either sleeping or galloping flat out round the field. I think he might be a handful when he's older!
We have another new addition to the yard as well Tillie a little puppy owned by Holly who is based on the yard with her Mum Jo Bates. Tillie has all ready made good friends with Molly so I'm sure they will be up to all sorts of mischief in the future.
I'd also like to say well done to Jo Bates as she has been doing so well this year having qualified her young horse bronze star for the RHIS and Hoys.
The farm is also a hive of activity now as harvest is rapidly coming upon us so lets hope this fantastic weather stays with us to make for a less stressful harvest.

Snow at the yard
23rd December, 2009
Although the recent weather has slowed down things on the yard our spirits have been kept high and we've been busy with much grooming, clipping and trimming taking place. The horses look stunning with the frozen ground helping to keep those muddy legs at bay!

New Cross Country Steps
Friday 30th October, 2009
We are very excited that our cross country steps have now been built. The horses watched with interest as the tractors brought all the materials and top soil past their paddocks. The steps will be ready for use in our training programme once the weather begins to dry out a little.
Our next project is underway for a ditch jump to be made.
