Our Facilities

Clattercote Priory

Clattercote Stables is set in acres of beautiful rolling countryside in Oxfordshire, just north of Banbury.

The yard is reached easily from the M40 with a fabulous central location to many equestrian events. Washbrook Farm in Aston-le-Walls where Pippa's Aunt and Uncle Ann and Nigel Taylor are based, Radway Riding School, Solihull Indoor Arena and Addington Equestrian Centre are all high profile venues that Pippa enjoys taking her horses too on a regular basis.

All year turnout is available with every paddock post and railed and in view of the yard. As Clattercote Stables is at the heart of a busy arable/pig farm the site is manned 24 hours a day with paddocks inspected daily for repair if necessary.

The yard currently has 14 large, well ventilated loose boxes all housed inside a large american style barn, with plans under way for further stabling. There is a horse walker and a fully heated tack room with hot water, a washing machine, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The main central barn houses the tackroom and is where the horses are tacked up and groomed. The tack room and stables are fully alarmed with safety locks and sensors and a guard dog. There is a large washbox, with a constant supply of hot and cold water and a large feed room. Haylage for our horses is produced on the farm and is of the highest quality.

There is a 30m by 50m all weather arena with a viewing hut and mirrors just outside the barn which is used all year round and doesn't flood in bad weather. Clattercote Stables offer full use of show jumps and also cross country style fences that suit all needs. These can be used in the arena through the autumn and winter and are set up in the jumping paddock through the spring and summer.

Our show jumps

We have a range of portable cross country jumps also available for use around the paddocks to help with confidence and training the horses. These are rotated regularly to help sharpen up the horses and give them something new to exercise over. We have recently also built cross country steps to assist in training the young horses, with plans under way for ditch jumps in the new year.

We are currently building some cross country steps with plans under way for ditch jumps in the new year.

We offer exhilarating off road, private hacking across acres of farm land with grass gallops to assist in our horses fitness regime.
